Belgazprombank held a Belarus-India trade and investment webinar

On July 10, 2026 Belgazprombank in collaboration with Indian trade chamber «Global India Business Forum» (GIBF) organized a multisector webinar on foreign investment in the economy of the Republic of Belarus and cooperation with Belarusian companies. More than fifty Indian legal entities and business representatives participated in the event.

In the framework of the webinar Indian partners got acquainted with the entry points to the Belarusian market, specifics of doing business in, investment and export potential of the Republic of Belarus, as well as the banking tools available for supporting entrepreneurship and servicing cross-border settlements.

 Global India Business Forum (GIBF) is an Indian trade chamber inaugurated in 2016 to support Indian companies of various sizes and sectors globally, including SMEs. The focus of GIBF is to create new business opportunities in foreign countries and jobs for the youth. At present GIBF collaborates with residents of over 150 countries. GIBF has its headquarters in Delhi, and other offices in the United Arab Emirates, the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore and China.

 As on 1 January, 2026, Belgazprombank is a systemically important bank in the Republic of Belarus raking 8th by assets and 5th by net profit in the Belarusian banking system. In 2024, the Development Bank's program on supporting small and medium-sized businesses marked its 10th anniversary. In this jubilee year, the Development Bank summed up the results of SMEs support, defined the prospective plans, as well as awarded the most active participants for the ten-year period of the program.

Belgazprombank was recognized as the best one in the nomination “Number 1”.

Rating agency Expert RA raised Belgazprombank’s credit rating to “byAAA” from ‘byAA+’ with a stable outlook. The highest possible credit rating reflects the opinion of Expert RA that Belgazprombank has the strongest attainable creditworthiness as measured on the national scale of the Republic of Belarus.

On the New Year’s eve Belgazprombank was awarded with a well-deserved title “The Best Partner Bank” of the Development Bank for supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The program of financial support for SMEs has been implemented by the Development Bank since 2014 in order to facilitate access of small and medium-sized businesses to credit resources, as well as to expand opportunities for financial leasing transactions.
