July 31, 2012 – National Bank of the Republic of Belarus concluded the registration of the amendments to the Charter of Belgazprombank connected with the increase of Belgazprombank’s authorized capital. As a resilt, Belgazprombank’s authorized capital increased by 193.8% to BYR 1,252,269 mln.
Based on the interim financial data Belgazprombank is the third among Belarusian banks in terms of authorized capital giving the leadership only to two state-owned banks – Belagroprombank
and Belarusbank.
Russian shareholders invested into the authorized capital of Belgazprombank an amount equal to USD 100 mln in the year when the Bank celebrates the 15th anniversary of joining Gazprom and Gazprombank
Group. Following this investment the shareholding structure has changed: Gazprom and Gazprombank currently hold by 49.66% of shares each, Beltransgaz – 0.49% and the Republic of Belarus
represented by the State Property Committee holds 0.18%.
The successful increase of Belgazprombank’s authorized capital is an unprecedented event for the Belarusian financial system in terms of the size of foreign investments.
The increase of authorized capital will have a positive impact on the large customers of Belgazprombank as the opportunities to finance large investment projects and programmes has grown
significantly.
Simultaneously the Bank will bring to the market a range of new products targeted to MSME support and offer new services to individuals.
