Belgazprombank was honored by Commerzbank AG with a Trade Award 2013 for high results in foreign trade financing achieved in cooperation with the German bank in 2013. This prize presented in Belarus for the first time also witnesses the recognition by the German bank of the high quality of trade finance services provided by Belgazprombank to its customers.
During the awarding ceremony which took place on 5 August, 2014, Mr. Hovsep Voskanyan, the Head of the Representative Office of Commerzbank AG in Belarus, marked that the quality of cooperation between the two banks in the sphere of financing foreign trade transactions increased considerably, and the number of letters of credit realized in cooperation with Belgazprombank in 2013 was considerable in the context of documentary business in Eastern Europe. He expressed satisfaction with the immaculate cooperation between the two institutions in documentary business and in foreign trade facilitation.
Sergey Shaban, the Deputy Chairman of the Board, who represented Belgazprombank in the awarding ceremony, pointed out that Commerzbank AG taking leading positions in the banking industry is also one of the main partners of the bank in the sphere of correspondent banking and trade finance. He expressed gratitude to Commerzbank AG for diversifying the variety of trade finance instruments and documentary business, which became available to Belgazprombank during the last year, and for increasing the volume of mutual cooperation in this business.
