Sergey Shaban, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Belgazprombank, noticed that the opening of another credit line for the purposes of providing financial support to small and medium enterprises is a remarkable event not only for Belgazprombank but also for the whole banking system of the Republic of Belarus. This is the largest line for the development of the target client segment ever attracted from one of the bank’s main shareholders. Belgazprombank received a unique opportunity to increase the volume of its credit support and to finance projects of SME and individual entrepreneurs on favorable terms.
During the last two decades Bank GPB (JSC) provides considerable assistance in supporting one of the main strategic activities of Belgazprombank – the development of private business initiative and financing of small and medium enterprises. In the past five years from the target funds provided by the parent bank Belgazprombank has rendered its clients financial support in the amount of more than USD 200 mln. The bank has developed effective lending procedures which are constantly improved in order to best meet SME financing requirements.
